Duties & Tax

If you are sending to a location outside of the EU, VAT will be removed automatically at the checkout. If you are a VAT registered company within the EU, you can enter your company details at the checkout, including your EU registered VAT number and VAT will be removed from your transaction automatically.

Orders sent by Sea Teach are not duty paid. If goods are being imported into another country, it is the responsibility of the receiver to pay any taxes and duties due on import. It is advisable to check these costs prior to purchase to avoid surprises. Please allow for time for goods to clear customs.

If you are a Yacht In Transit, it can help if you are able to provide us with your ships papers before dispatch. You may have to product these papers as well in order to release your goods.

Delivery Methods

United Kingdom

Within the UK, most of our goods are dispatched using DPD. If you provide a mobile number, DPD can send you a text with a 1 hour delivery slot on the day of delivery. Over-sized parcels are sent using TNT. We will use other services, including the postal service if we believe a better service can be given (Saturday delivery for example).

Highlands and Islands

Small items will be sent with the postal service, larger items are sent with a courier (usually UPS or DHL).

Channel Islands

Small items will be sent with the postal service, larger items are usually sent with DPD.


Nearly all of our European orders are sent with DPD.

Rest of the World

We use a number of couriers to ship worldwide, we will advise who will be delivering your order when we quote your delivery cost.

Stock & Delivery Time

We try to hold as much of our product range in stock as we can, however we are currently unable to show live stock figures on our website. If you would like to find out stock availability of any of our items then please call us on +44(0)1243 375774 or email in advance of placing your order. If we anticipate a long lead time (more than 2 weeks), we will contact you within 48 hours of placing your order.

Please be aware that if you have chosen to pay for an order via bank transfer, we will not dispatch your order until the funds have been received in full.

Receiving Your Order

Most of our deliveries require a signature. If you are not home at the time of delivery the courier should leave a calling card for you to arrange another delivery time. It is very important that when you receive your order you check it immediately for any damage or missing parts. We try our hardest to ensure the safe delivery of goods, but if something has been damaged it is important that you report this to us within 48 hours of receiving your order. This still applies if someone else is receiving your goods for you.
