The Navilight TriColor 2NM – US Coast Guard approved for 2 nautical miles includes a green light to be shown at the starboard side and a red light to be shown at the port side. In addition, it includes the white stern light, to be used at the stern. It is battery operated, uses super bright LED light, is waterproof, floats and attaches almost anywhere through its double magnetic mounting system.

Navisafe Navilight Tricolour Features

The green, as well as the red lights, show an unbroken light over an arc of the horizon of 112.5° degrees. The white Sternlight shows an unbroken light over an arc of the horizon of 135° degrees. All lights work independently, in a combination of all three or red/green together.

Examples of usage, based on the Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (commonly called 72 COLREGs).

On a power-driven vessel < 12m in length:

As a port (red) or starboard (green) sidelight
As a combined port and starboard (red and green) light
As a stern light (white)

On a power-driven vessel 12 - 50m in length:

As a port (red) or starboard (green) sidelight
As a stern light (white)

On a sailing vessel underway:

As a port (red) or starboard (green) sidelight
As a stern light (white)

On a sailing vessel < 20m in length (as a backup light):

TriColour lantern (red, green and white) at or near the top of the mast

Navisafe Mounting System

The double magnetic system consists of the Navilight with its magnetic base, a separate magnetic plate and a screw for attaching the plate to a wooden deck for example. It also holds the light safely on many plastic boats, biminis or any other material by placing the light on top and the magnetic plate underneath. Additionally Navisafe offers a wide range of specially designed magnetic mountings such as the Clamp-on Rail mount, Bendable Suction-mount and the Telescopic Poles that easily allow the lights to be attached.

NOTE: If the magnetic mounts are used do not place the separate magnetic plate between the Navilight and the mount. Please always secure the Navilight with the supplied lanyard to the mount (Clamp-on Rail mount, Telescopic Pole) or to something which is securely fixed on the boat if you use the Bendable Suction-mount.
